The Fireflies stayed hot at the plate early against Greenville Monday night and the pen kept the Drive off the scoreboard late to secure a 6-4 win for Columbia. They combined for 6 doubles at the plate and 12 K’s from the mound, and 8 of 9 batters would reach base at least once.

Cola starter Chase Ingram was great the first time through Greenville’s lineup, but less effective after that, when the Drive were able to chip away at the lead. He allowed the first two batters to reach in the 6^th inning and they eventually came around to score with Tyler Bashlor on the mound. Bashlor was throwing gas, as you can see in the pitch log below, but he made the 6^th inning mess worse before cleaning it up. Alex Palsha would come in to record the final 5 outs, and he faced just one over the minimum while picking up his third save.

Scoring Highlights

Milton Ramos doubled home Dash Winningham on a 91 MPH Fastball after Dash and Joe Tuschak had walked to start the 2^nd inning. Tuschak came home in the inning on a sac fly from Tyler Moore.

J.C. Rodriguez led off the 3^rd with a single into CF and eventually came around to score on a two out, two run double from big Dash Winningham – the double came off of a 91 MPH Fastball.

Tyler Moore picked up his third double of the year with one out in the 4^th inning. Vicente Lupo singled him to 3B and J.C. singled him home to make it a 5-0 lead.
