Mets are still there! |
Last Series
Dates: June 12-14, 2015
Results: Win 2/3
Current Record: 34-30, ½ Game lead over Washington
MVMet: Juan
Lagares had another big series at the plate, providing the go-ahead homerun
Sunday that put the Mets in line for a sweep. He’s slashing .358/.358/.604,
with 3 2B, 2 3B, and 2 HR in June!
LVMet: Based on
recent comments, Dillon Gee was clearly not in a good place mentally when he
took the mound Sunday, and it led to the Mets designating him for assignment
Monday.

The
pen was asked to do a lot more than usual for a 3-game series, with guys asked
to do more than they have in the past, but they did their job in 2 of 3 games –
thank goodness for Jeurys Familia! Hansel Robles could not close things out in
the 9th Saturday, which cost the Mets a sweep, although they still
had several chances to win that game after the Braves tied it.
Looking Ahead
The Mets host the Blue Jays for two
before travelling to Toronto for two more, which kicks off an 8-game road trip.
