2015 Monday Morning Mets Minors Players of the Week

June 15-21, 2015

Keeping track of the hottest minor leaguers in the Mets farm system.

Hitter of the Week: Kirk Nieuwenhuis returned to the 51s with a bang, picking up 6 extra base hits in his 21 at bats.
Starting Pitcher of the Week: Several strong cases for this award (2 great cases in Savannah), but Michael Gibbons was very good over 2 starts, which gives him the edge in my eyes. More on where Gibbons came from can be found here.
Relief Pitcher of the Week: Chase and Chase were quite an impressive L/R duo out of the 51s pen this week.
Team of the Week: This couldn’t be an easier award this week, as the Savannah Sand Gnats clinched their 5th first-half division title in 6 years on Sunday.
