MVMet: Is this going to be an annual thing with Ruben Trolljada? He’s been the best hitter over the past two series. His hot bat edged out a great collective effort from the pen.

LVMet: Curtis Granderson was pretty dreadful at the top of the Mets lineup – we got 2+ more years of this at 15+ mil/season (he got paid $13 M in 2014)? Oy!

            It really doesn’t get much better than this from the pen, as they combined for a complete game shutout against San Diego, and they stranded both inherited runners. They did all of that without their best relief pitcher of 2015 (Jeurys Familia) throwing a pitch, without their closer from 2014, and with two of their (potential) top guys still rehabbing in the minors.
