Mets fans have a reason to smile after that road trip, and with this guy pithing Friday night at home |
Dates: July 6-8, 2015
Results: Win 2/3
Current Record: 44-42, 3 Games behind Washington
MVMet: The Mets
starting pitcher’s win the collective award, as they compiled a 1.23 ERA over
22 IP in the series.
LVMet: He
wouldn’t fix all of the teams problems on offense, but getting Lucas Duda right
would be just as impactful to this lineup right now as importing a slugger.

The
Mets bullpen has been great this year, but the return of a healthy and fresh
Jenrry Mejia can only help, as he gives Terry Collins another arm he actually
trusts out there, and gives the Mets a dominant 1-2 punch with Familia. He
looked great with Las Vegas, striking out 6 of 16 batters faced, with 0 walks
allowed, and a 14% swinging strike rate. If Bobby Parnell ever gets back to
previous form, the 3-headed monster at the back of the pen would shrink Mets
games down to 6 innings.
