Stephen Guilert of Mack’s Mets asked whether it’s time to get excited about Gavin Cecchini (I think the answer is absolutely!).

Fangraphs writer Nathaniel Stoltz wrote up Luis Cessa, giving him the following grades, which seem pretty fair.

Fastball: 55/60

Slider: 45/50

Changeup: 50/55

Command: 45/55

Tom Gamboa continues to give great quotes for the media after Cyclones games. From the BrooklynPaper, “We are constantly chasing a 1-1 pitch that’s often in the dirt, or it’s over our head and then we’re wondering why we’re not getting any hits. And you guys are throwing your bats and getting upset. You guys are doing the same thing and expecting a different result when you need to get your head out from your ass and realize that when you chase pitches you’re putting the count in the pitcher’s favor.”
