Recap

After rolling through the first 3 innings Saturday night in Rome, Martires Arias lost control in the 4th, walking the bases loaded before yielding to the bullpen. Lefty Ben Griset was the first out of the pen, and he’d allow a bases clearing triple to Joseph Daris, who would come home on the play when John Mora misplayed the ball in CF. The Sand Gnats tried battling back in the 6th and 7th inning, but both times the Braves were able to bounce back against the Savannah pen. The loss snapped a 6-game win streak the Gnats had been riding, and pushes them back to 4-games under .500.
Check out the offense highlights below. This 5-game series wraps up Sunday at 2, with Scarlyn Reyes scheduled to pitch for Savannah.

Scoring Highlights

Luis Guillorme hit a one out single in the 1st, but he’d be stranded on 3B.

Eudor Garcia led off the 2nd with a single, went to 2B on a hit from Wuilmer Becerra, and then scored on a Tyler Moore double – Becerra would stop at 3B, although he wasn’t far behind Eudor as they reached 3B.

Becerra hit a solo blast with two outs in the 6th.

After back-to-back walks to start the 7th, Guillorme lined a single into LF to load the bases. All three runners would come home to score on a bases loaded walk, followed by a two run single from Stefan Sabol.

Big hit against Savannah
