Minors MVP of the Day – 4-hit games aren't common, and Yeixon Ruiz had twice as many hit as the rest of the St. Lucie lineup. Great job filling in for Champ Stuart, both in the field and at the top of the order.
Minors Cy of the Day – Some good starts tonight, but Josh Prevost lasted the longest, and issued no walks. He hasn't had a high K-rate with Savannah (18.5% is slightly below average), but another start without a walk lowers his BB-rate to 4.6%, which is well above average. Combine that with his well above average groundball rate (60+% of balls in play go for groundballs), thanks to a very nice sinker, and you have a good recipe for success.
