Mets Series in Review: vs. Orioles

Dates: 5/5-5/6
Results: SWEEP 2!
Current Record: 18-10, 1st, place, 4 Games over Atlanta
                                                       4.5 Games over Miami/Washington

MVMet: After losing a tough series against Washington this past weekend, Bartolo Colon took a scoreless game into the 8th, and just continued his early season dominance. He has been a joy for all to watch, unless he’s pitching against your favorite team.
LVMet: David Wright’s back? Nah, it held up the Mets offense for so many years. Just get healthy quick Dubz!

Chris Davis hit 112 homeruns from 2012-14, and Jeurys Familia doesn’t normally allow homeruns, so let’s give him a pass for making us uncomfortable at the end of Tuesday night’s win. Considering the Mets had a day off before and after this series, and needed minimal relief for their starters, Terry made it pretty clear who he considers the top two relievers at the moment.

Looking Ahead

The Mets head out for a 7-game road trip through Philadelphia and Chicago, and there will be a lot of young MLB talent on display next week in the Windy City.
