Weird
and unsettling news from the Mets on Sunday morning: Matt Harvey was suspended
for 3 games by the team as a disciplinary action. Adam Wilk had to be added to
the roster for today’s start, which meant the Mets needed to open a 40-man
spot, so Noah Syndergaard was moved to the 60-day DL. All I can say is if this
has to do with that stupid black dildo prank, than the Mets are idiots and I
officially do not support Sandy anymore (long since stopped being a fan of
Terry the Manager). Judging from tweets, it seems more likely it has to do with Harvey showing up to the park prepared or not (hungover or not).
In
related news, Tim Peterson was added to the 51s roster today, which is good
since they no longer have a starter set for today.
Looking
further down the farm, Lucas Duda is DH’ing and batting 3rd for St.
Lucie today, and Wuilmer Becerra is playing the field for the first time in about
a year.
