Ricardo Cespedes was added to the Fireflies roster and made his full-season debut Wednesday night. Still just 19, the Mets signed Cespedes for $725,000 nearly 4 years ago, when they also signed his Cola teammates Luis Carpio and Ali Sanchez. The Fireflies lineup tonight featured three teenagers (Andres Gimenez (18), Luis Carpio (19) and Cespedes (19)) and two 20-year olds (Ali Sanchez and Desmond Lindsay). Cespedes takes the roster spot of Jose Miguel Medina (20), who had been playing RF everyday, but hadn't been doing much more than hitting singles with a .231 average. Cespedes hit .322/.356/.379 with four doubles, three triples, and one homer for Kingsport last year (36 K: 9 BB, 7-14 on SB), and was #18 on the Fangraphs pre-season Mets top-20 prospect list.
