            Check out yesterday’s results here.

Lucas Duda is going back to XST this weekend and should be participating in games with St. Lucie again next week.

Some news outlets acted like they cared that Tim Tebow was grooved a few fastballs (after being alerted they were coming) during the workout that led to him signing with the Mets, although I’m not sure why that is offensive or a big deal. I bet David Aardsma could make most A-ball hitters look bad if he was pitching against them with a potential job on the line, and who cares if the other guy grooved him some fastballs and then asked for his autograph? Really? This is baseball people, not politics, but minor league baseball.

The Mets signed RH SP Blake Beaven to a minor league deal and assigned him to the Las Vegas 51s yesterday. Wilfredo Boscan was moved to the 7-day DL (retroactive to 5/2), likely just to make room for Beaven on the roster.

Ben Griset returned to the Rumble Ponies roster and appears likely to start game two of their double-header today.

Full post-game recap

Here are the Gimenez and Carpio hits.

Minors MVP of the Day – Gotta go with St. Lucie's everyday utility player Nick Sergakis. He's more than holding his own after skipping the SAL this year, and rotating to whatever position the Mets need him at (kind of like what Mets hero of the night T.J. Rivera did when in St. Lucie).
Minors Cy of the Day – Easily Tyler Pill. Given what happened in Flushing with Rafael Montero, I wonder if there are any Mets execs who wish they had rolled the dice on Pill. I've written here previously that I think Pill should be the Mets next internal option, but it's close between him and Ricky Knapp.
