I won't usually reach down to the DSL for the daily MVP/Cy, but I think today clearly warranted it. Considered giving the MVP to the rain for going 3-4 with 3 TKO's against the Mets affiliates tonight, but these DSL Mets had big days yesterday.

Minors MVP of the Day –Andres Gimenez may be playing in the DSL, but the 17-year old shortstop prospect from Venezuela was considered a big get for the Mets during last years international signing period, ranking #2 on Baseball America's list of international prospects, so hopefully he won't spend multiple seasons in the DSL.

Minors Cy of the Day – 20-year old Haitian Ramon Laguerre has been an effective starter in the DSL over the past 2 seasons and started his 2016 on the right foot Monday. In 20 DSL starts: 86.2 IP, 2.70 ERA, 77 H, 70 K: 21 BB, 2 HR allowed.
