Keeping track of recent minor transactions within the Mets system
New York Mets 14-7
4/26 – Travis d’Arnaud was placed on the 15-day DL with a
right rotator cuff strain. The Mets selected the contract of Rene Rivera from
Las Vegas and moved Zack Wheeler to the 60-day DL to make room for Rivera on
the 40-man roster.
Las Vegas 51s 10-10
4/30 – Seth Lugo was activated from the DL for his start.
The 51s needed to make a roster move when he went on the DL, but word is he had
a sore forearm, which is concerning. If there is a corresponding move, I will
have it updated in this post by morning, but the last
roster update only had 24 active players
Binghamton Mets 10-9
4/24 – Stefan Sabol was placed on the 7-day DL with a foot
injury, and Raywilly Gomez was activated for the roster.
It
has been announced that Jeff McNeil has a sports hernia and will be out for
an undetermined amount of time
St. Lucie Mets 13-9
4/24 – Ben Griset was activated off the temporarily inactive
list, and Paul Paez was assigned to the Cycloes roster to make room for him.
4/26 – Lednier Ricardo was transferred to the Cyclones
roster, and Brandon Brosher was added to be the backup catcher for now.
4/27 – Patrick Biondi was transferred to the Cyclones roster
after leaving Tuesday’s game early when he slid headfirst into 2B and came up
with what looked like a hurt hand (per the radio). Raphael Ramirez was
activated in his place for now.
ICYMI, from last week, I’ve been told that Mike Gibbons is
in Spring Training recovering from an elbow strain suffered during Spring Training.
Columbia Fireflies 13-9
4/26 – Jose Garcia was activated off the 7-day DL and
Natanael Ramos was placed back on it. The Mets have several young catching
options for Columbia, so I think they are using the DL as a way to rotate
between them from week-to-week.
4/27 – Adrian Abreu, another catcher, became active because
his 80-game suspension for PED use ended. He was transferred to the 7-day DL.
4/29 – Tucker Tharp was placed on the DL after taking a
pitch to the ear flap/face region Thursday night. Enmanuel Zabala was
transferred to the Fireflies roster to take his spot.
Update: The Kevin Kaczmarski injury was revealed to be to
his quad, although Adam Rubin did
not specify which leg or the severity.
