Pre-game notes: The only two wins Sacramento has so far this year came against Las Vegas last week. Lugo was great last time out against this same team, and the 51s got to Chris Stratton big time by the 5th and 6th innings. Dilson Herrera has responded well to playing in the field, going 5-13 with a double in his 3 games at 2B after going just 3-14 as a DH/PH. The 51s expect Duane Below to join the rotation for Wednesday’s start – he’s been dealing with some personal stuff per Adam Rubin.

Pre-game notes: Jannis took a no-hitter into the 7th in his last outing, and his knuckleball is always exciting to watch. Dominic Smith hit his first homerun of the year yesterday, yanking one out to RF in his third AB – he hit the ball deeper and deeper to RF in each of his first 3 AB’s. Smith is now 7-25 over his last 6 games, with 3 doubles, a triple, and a homerun (.280/.308/.600). Matt Oberste picked up his 4th double of the year yesterday, and it was his second straight game with a double. Maikis De La Cruz’s .971 OPS is 8th best in the league.

Bullpen:
Josh Prevost (L, 1-1, 3.52 ERA) – 6.1 IP, 9 H, 4 R (3 ER), 2 BB, 4 K, 10 GO: 3 FO
Alberto Baldonado (1.42 ERA) – 1.2 IP, 2 H, 3 K, 1 FO, 1 IR – 1 S

Gameday pitch info wonky as of this update

Pre-game notes: Josh Prevost and Monday’s starter Casey Delgado were the St. Lucie studs during the first two turns of the rotation, and I’m excited to see if Prevost can keep up his strikeout-happy ways – he has 11 K (27%): 1 BB through his first 9 IP in the FSL. The Mets had a hit party Monday, with everyone in the lineup collecting at least one hit, and 6 players collecting multiple hits. Champ Stuart led the way with 3 hits, and now has a 5-game hitting streak that has lifted his OBP to .389. Tomas Nido picked up a hit for the 8th time in 9 starts this year, and he has just 3 strikeouts through 37 PA. Amed Rosario leads the FSL with 3 triples. Champ Stuart is tied for 2nd in stolen bases. Tomas Nido is 4th with a .382 batting average.

First pitch strike to 18/27 batters faced (67%)

Pre-game notes: This will be the first Ingram start that I won’t get to watch on MiLB.tv – I recapped his first start here and his second start here. Ingram has 15 K: 1 BB through his first two starts, with a 16.6% Swinging strike rate, so he’s worth keeping an eye on. The Fireflies exploded for an 8-run 8th Monday, capped by a two run triple from Milton Ramos. Dash Winningham responded to his move to the 6-hole with a big output, providing 2 hits, 2 RBI’s, and drawing a walk. David Thompson’s 13 RBI’s lead the SAL. Vinny Siena is tied for the league lead in runs scored.

Minors MVP of the Day – There wasn't much offense in the minors, but Amed Rosario continues to rake in his return to the FSL, which is great news. Hopefully it won't be long until I'm covering him nightly at Bingo.
Minors Cy of the Day – There really wasn't much good pitching in the minors Tuesday, but David Roseboom was a rare bright spot, keeping Akron scoreless for 2 innings.
