Worth of Press Connects says that Xorge Carrillo is an international
commodity. Carrillo’s defense is really impressive behind the plate, but
his offensive game has been inconsistent in the minors.

First pitch strike to 17/28 batters faced (61%)
Post-game recap: Another
great start from Casey Delgado, who took a shutout into the 8th inning
before a leadoff double came around to score. Jhoan Urena’s triple was hit over
the center fielder’s head and he’d come around to score thanks to a pair of bad
throws – see the tweet below. Wuilmer Becerra raised his average above .300
with those two hits. Kevin Taylor went deep for the first time in the Mets
system – he and Delgado were previously Indy ball teammates. John Mora’s RBI
hit came on a line drive off the pitcher. Amed Rosario was hit in the back with
a curve, so nothing to be concerned about.

Minors MVP of the Day
– T.J. Rivera had 3 hits, including a double, with 2 RBI's for Las Vegas.
Minors Cy of the Day
– Casey Delgado has been great for St. Lucie over his first 3 starts of the year, and it would've been extremely hard to beat him out on this day.
