Per Lynn Worthy, the Mets are not interested in his homerun total, they are just looking for consistency from him.

Recapish

After the New York Mets rewrote their own history with a 12-run inning Friday night, the Las Vegas 51s went out and put on a laser show of their own. Starter Rafael Montero wasn’t at his best, but he found his way through 5 innings once handed an 11-3 lead after two.
Montero walked the first batter of the game, and it came back to burn him when he allowed three straight hits with two outs in the frame. Mike Baxter picked up an RBI double in the frame, and would continue to be a thorn in Montero’s side throughout the night, finishing 3-3 with 2 doubles against him.

Recapish

The Binghamton Mets rode one of Rainy Lara best starts as a pro to their fifth straight win Friday night, taking the opener in New Hampshire 4-1. Lara didn’t have his swing-and-miss stuff working, but he kept the Fisher Cats off the base paths, although the only hit he did allow left the park.
Dominic Smith put the B-Mets up early with his second bomb of the year in the 1st inning. It came of an 86 MPH fastball and just cleared the LF fence. Niuman Romero had a big night for Binghamton again, singling to keep the 1st inning alive, and then driving home a run in the 3rd. The B-Mets added another run in the 5th and were up 4-0 before the Cats had a hit.

Not really a surprise considering, but Amed Rosario is tops on BA’s Prospect Hot Sheet.

Unfortunate news coming in from Columbia today, as Tucker Tharp has facial fractures after being HBP in the face last night and faces a tough road back. Good luck on the road back Tharp!

And then made contact with a billboard beyond RF in Monday’s win

Amed Rosario hit another homerun for St. Lucie Saturday night, his second already after 0 last year.

Recapish

The 51s erupted for a big lead Thursday night, and the weather held out just long enough for them to pick up their third straight win. Las Vegas starter Sean Gilmartin was a little wild, but the Rainiers had trouble squaring him up, and he ended up with he 5-inning complete game win. Brandon Nimmo led the way on offense, picking up a hit in each of the first 3 innings, including a bases clearing double in the 3rd.
