2015 Monday Morning Mets Minors Players of the Week

Taijeron has had an impressive debut season with Las Vegas

August 17-23, 2015

Keeping track of the hottest minor leaguers in the Mets farm system, I will be rotating through the lower level teams covered here.

Hitter of the Week: I don’t think there have ever been so many options available for this award, but Travis Taijeron’s 4 homeruns has his slugging percentage higher than almost every other batters OPS.
Starting Pitcher of the Week: Chris Flexen has been lights out for Savannah since returning to them, giving Mets fans reason to believe in his potential again.
Relief Pitcher of the Week: Christian Montgomery made his one appearance last week count striking out 7 of 9 batters faced.
Team of the Week: The Sand Gnats didn’t lose all week, although they lost their winning streak thanks to a rare baseball tie (what BS!).
