The
DSL Mets2 were eliminated from the playoffs over the weekend, and I looked in
at the other Mets affiliates playoffs odds here
(as of Saturday afternoon).
Weekend Wrapup: Gavin
Cecchini is currently day-to-day with right hip soreness. Eric Young Jr. made
his first appearance of the season with the Las Vegas 51s last night, but
Brandon Nimmo was absent from the lineup. Dario Alvarez was promoted to the
Mets for a day, but will be heading back to Las Vegas to make room for David
Wright. John Mora was activated for the Savannah Sand Gnats, but Corey Oswalt
hit the 7-day DL (hopefully this is just a roster space move). After spending
the season and their careers to this point in the DSL, Anthony Dirocie and
Miguel Patino made their pro stateside debuts over the weekend, so I’m curious
if other DSL players will be rewarded with a week of stateside play now that
their season is over. Michael Gibbons has been sent back to the St. Lucie Mets.
