The
NY
Post recaps some of the Mets injuries woes from the 2016 draft: Anthony Kay
has had TJS, Blake Tiberi has had TJS, Colby Woodmansee suffered a ‘core muscle
tear,’ and Chris Viall had offseason elbow surgery.
MiLB
says Desmond Lindsay is getting back on track after hitting a homer in two
straight games. Real bold timing. Milton Ramos has had a sub-.600 OPS in the SAL since last June (he had a .696 OPS in May, 2016), but he's got a modest four-game hit streak going and four doubles in his last nine games. I'll be a little bolder than MiLB.com and say that Ramos looked like someone who's bat was finally starting to come around at the end of May. He's certainly cleaned up his mechanics at the plate since last year, and he apparently bulked up some during the offseason.

Post-game notes:
Harol allowed back-to-back RBI doubles in the 7th but then struck
out the next batter and finished the inning himself; the double was Paez’s 19th
of the season – only two Fireflies players finished with more in 2016.
The amateur draft is on June 12th, the Mets have
just 3 picks in the top-100: #20, 59, and 97.
Brooklyn Cyclones season starts on June 19th in
Staten Island (Yankees).
Kingsport Mets season starts on June 22nd in
Burlington (Royals).
GCL Mets season starts on June 26th against the
GCL Marlins.
The DSL season starts today!! I won’t always post DSL
results, and DSL stats should generally just be ignored, but a few of these
guys will play full season ball in the Mets system eventually.
Stats not up in time for this post.
