            ICYMI, the Mets 2014 1^st round draft pick Michael Conforto made his debut yesterday – Newsday, DailyNews.

            The LompocRecord looked at local some local guys trying to make it as professional baseball players. From the Mets, they cover Carlos Torres and Jeff McNeil.

            Listen to a pre-game interview with Brandon Nimmo here. They discuss differences in approach when leading off or facing a new pitcher for the first time. “You’re really just looking for your pitch, it doesn’t matter what pitcher you’re seeing… If you get it, you got to jump at it. If not, you just got to battle through the at-bat.”
