Keeping
track of the hottest minor leaguers in the Mets farm system. A few hours later than normal this time, sorry!
Hitter of the
Week: Dilson Herrera just kept on rolling last week, picking up 4 XBH,
4 BB, 2 SB against 2 SO.
Starting Pitcher
of the Week: John Gant took a no-hitter into the 6th and
then finished the double-header-shortened shutout on Sunday – he was in control
the entire game.
Relief Pitcher of
the Week: Giving the nod to Brad Wieck for recording 5/6 outs via the
strikeout.
Team of the Week:
With the most wins and no clear stand out, the nod goes to the Mets of St.
Lucie. The Gnats and Cyclones had strong weekends, so let’s see if either
brings that into this new week.
Las Vegas 51s
2-2

There were only four games thanks to the All-Star Break, and
they weren’t a great four games. Another hat tip to Allan Dykstra for winning
the HR-Derby, keeping on slugging Allan!
