TheLedger has a great profile on the Mets 2009 draft pick (23rd round) John Church, including some comments from Church given in a recent phone interview. Church has been pitching for the Las Vegas 51s since the end of May, and has been one of their most effective relievers after a few ‘rough’ outings to start his AAA career. He’s another potential internal reliever option who should get some chances for the Mets over the next few seasons.
Toby Hyde had a good piece on Kingsport Mets OF Wuilmer Becerra, who was recently involved in a drag racing incident.
