Keeping
track of the best Minor League players in the Mets farm system. Statistics
listed for all players. Top performances highlighted in orange. If you would
like to see some other stats listed in the future, leave a request in the
comments and I will see what I can do.
Hitters of the Month
Las Vegas – Andrew Brown has been
ridiculous since his demotion.
Binghamton – Kevin Plawecki found his
power stroke this past month.
St. Lucie – Jairo
Perez beats out some tough competition.
Savannah – L. J. Mazzilli will not
be in Savannah much longer.
Starting Pitchers of the Month
Las Vegas – Logan Verrett gets the
nod in one of the weaker competitions of the month because he consistently went
deep into games when the 51s needed him to, was healthy all month, and as
effective as any other pitcher.
Binghamton – Tyler Pill edges Darin Gorski
in what was pretty much a toss-up in the end.
St. Lucie – Gabriel
Ynoa edges Steven Matz, though they moth had very encouraging months.
Savannah – Kevin McGowan easily won
this by not giving up an earned run over 25.2 IP.
Relief Pitchers of the Month
Las Vegas – Ryan Reid barely edges
out Buddy Carlyle.
Binghamton – Jack Leathersich and his
strikeout touch beats out some other strong relief efforts in Bingo.
St. Lucie – Seth
Lugo gets the edge because of the higher inning total, but there were a few
good relief options. Also, most of the damage against Lugo came in his last outing with a little tough luck.
Savannah – Akeel Morris and Tim
Peterson can share this award, as they had very similar outputs for the month –
too tough to choose.
Team of the Month
Every team had a winning month, but the Sand Gnats had a .704 winning percentage, which was easily the best. Before their Major League Promotion:
