I looked at the top performers in the Mets farm system last week, as well as the top performers in the Mets rookie affiliates thus far.
Check out yesterday’s minor league results here.
Sam Dykstra of MiLB.com took a closer look at Michael Fulmer’s dominant start on Sunday.
Dillon Gee talked about his rehab start with Brooklyn.
Bleacher Report has a Mets prospect watch for Week 14.
In case you missed it, here’s an interview with Frank Viola about his role in what author Ron Kantowski dubs ‘The greatest college baseball game ever played’ (against Ron Darling!).
Fake Teams took a look at Noah Syndergaard and how his stock has changed in the past season – here’s last seasons report.
Minor League Ball looked at how some NY-Penn league players were doing in their first taste of full-season ball – of interest is their look at L.J. Mazzilli.
Gabriel Ynoa was promoted to AA and will make his first start Thursday. I expect to offer full Astromets Mind coverage of his first start for Binghamton, as that game is scheduled to be on MiLB.tv. It looks like Greg Peavey is back in AAA (per the game notes). There were so many MiLB.tv games this past week that I got a little behind yesterday, but I am going to try to catch up on them and then likely go back to Thor's CBS start, especially if there is interest expressed.
The Mets 10th round pick Kelly Secrest was honored as a second-team ABCA All-East Region all-star.
