After
the Brooklyn gif recap and the Thor pitch sequences, I didn’t have enough time
for a full gif recap of the Savannah game from Saturday night, but I did grab a
few nice highlights. There were a few other big hits in the game, and I did not
cover starter Alex Panteliodis, so I can go back upon request for specific
plays if you ask in the comments.
Dominic Smith got the Savannah three-run 4th inning started with this double
to the left-center field-warning track off of a lefty.

Here is relief pitcher Dawrin Frias
getting Jimmy Rider to strike out swinging on the 8th pitch of the
at-bat. It was his second strikeout of the night, but the other one came at a terrible angle.
Hunter Carnevale was the third Savannah pitcher used Saturday night. He got credit for
the blown save when a passed ball allowed Kendrick Perkins to score the tying
run in the 8th – he came into a bases loaded, two outs situation and
did get the batter out, after the passed ball. He then had back-to-back
strikeouts after a leadoff walk in the 9th:
Carlos
Asuaje struck out swinging.
Wendell
Rijo struck out looking.
After
Champ Stuart led off the 11th with a walk, he stole 2B and went to
3B on a fly out to RF by Yeixion Ruiz. Victor Cruzado then drove him in with this
RBI single to RF.
Akeel Morris then came in for the
save in the 11th and retired the first two hitters in order. He’d
walk Aneudis Peralta on five pitches before getting Asuaje swinging with this
breaking ball.
