This is the area for which Mets C Travis d'Arnaud rates best at stealing strikes by our pitch tools pic.twitter.com/ZoCxZXpNZh
— Mark Simon (@msimonespn) August 10, 2014
Dates: August 12-14
Results: Swept
L 7-1, L 3-2, L 4-1
Current Record: 57-65, 10.5 GB in NL East, 7.5 GB in Wild
Card
Recaps:
MVMet: Travis∂’Arnaud gets the nod for providing some pop over the weekend, managing two of
the three Mets extra base hits.
LVMet: Curtis
Granderson takes home the LVMet for being the worst among a mostly lifeless
offense. That is one ugly series box score.

It
was certainly a better performance from the bullpen than in the Mets series
against the Phillies. Hopefully that was just a hiccup that’s behind them now.
Looking Ahead:
The Cubbies come into town for a four game series that wraps
around the weekend, and then the Mets go West for 5 games in California. Bad
news is that the Mets don’t have a day off between games in New York and
Oakland. Good news is that they have a day off in California and after
travelling home from California before the Braves and Phillies come into town
to close out August.
