Keeping
track of the hottest minor leaguers in the Mets farm system: special two-week
Tuesday edition to make up for missed time, rookie leagues included!
Hitter of the Weeks:
There were some very strong performances throughout the minors, but Matt ∂en
Dekker continued to outhit everyone. Granderson – M∂D – Lagares in the
outfield?
Starting Pitcher
of the Weeks: As obvious a choice as Noah Syndergaard is, John Gant and
Robert Gsellman were equally dominant for Savannah. Thor gets the nod for
dominating the tougher league, but the starting pitching in Savannah has been
great this year.
Relief Pitcher of
the Weeks: There were many strong options to pick from, but I’m giving
the nod to Savannah’s Akeel Morris, who had a miniscule .133 OPS allowed during
the stretch.
Team of the Weeks:
This one was easy, as the Cyclones were the only team to distinguish themselves
lately. They really seemed to get a boost from the addition of top-draft pick
Michael Conforto, but that pitching was top notch during this stretch.
