Recap:

The Sand Gnats offense was shut down in Rome Saturday night, as Savannah lost game two of this series 4-3. Luis Guillorme made his Sand Gnats debut at shortstop, going 1-3 with a walk and a run scored. He was also involved in some key defensive plays throughout the game too. With two outs in the 4^th, his throw to 1B was too high, which allowed Joey Meneses to score before Codey McElroy was tagged out on the play. Later, with two outs in the 7^th, Guillorme booted a grounder hit to his right, allowing Ross Wilson to score on what was ruled an infield hit. Gnats starter Logan Taylor had another very strong start against Rome, working ahead in the count and getting groundball after groundball – 13 of 15 balls put in play were groundballs. Just like after his last start, I attempted to chart his pitches throughout the game below, stealing the catcher’s sign whenever possible.
