Mets Minor League Daily – April 19, 2015

Updated throughout the day and night

Minor News

            Check out yesterday’s results here.

I haven’t heard any updates, but two Binghamton Mets players left Saturday’s game with possible injuries - I will update the post with any relevant news - Lynn Worthy said it was a pulled hammy.

I looked at Gavin Cecchini’s fast start with Bingo as he was bumped to the top of the lineup - now he's out two straight days since I posted that. Cecchini has been dealing with a 'sore groin.'

Todd Dewey of the Las Vegas Review-Journal says Thor’s focus is on the mound, not his first call up from the Mets.

Minors MVP of the Day – Michael Conforto continues to pose the question, "What am I doing in the Florida State League?" He won't be there long if he keeps hitting like this, as he reached 3 hits for a second straight game. His slash is now .366/.460/.707
Minors Cy of the DayRobert Whalen was mowing hitters down for St. Lucie today, and is off to a hot start in the Florida State League this year - most of the rotation is.
