Minors MVP of the Day – With all due respect to Alex Castellanos big night, this was an easy choice, as Jayce Boyd came up in the bottom of the 9th, with the bases load, two outs, and the B-Mets down 7-5, and cleared the bases with a double to LF to win it.

Minors Cy of the Day – In the absence of any standout starts, the nod goes to Sand Gnats relief pitcher Jimmy Duff, who made the jump from Kingsport this season, and struck out 5 of 12 batters faced tonight.
