Recap

The B-Mets jumped out early and never looked back in a game were all of their pitching came from relief pitchers in the 7-inning nightcap of a weird day of B-Mets baseball. The Mets were hoping for some length from RP Jake Kuebler when they sent him out to start, but I doubt they ever hoped to get 4 innings of one-hit baseball, which is what Kuebler gave them in the nightcap. He was a groundball machine, and retired 10 straight after allowing a leadoff single in the 1st. Gavin Cecchini kept #CecchiniRaking in his return to the lineup, leading off the game with a double, and making another nice play in the field – check out both of those highlights and more below.
These two teams wrap up this series Wednesday night at 6 PM, and the B-Mets will send Rainy Lara to the mound for a chance at the sweep.

Scoring Highlights

Gavin Cecchini led off the game with his third double of the season, a ball he hit off the base of the CF wall. He’d come around to score on an RBI single from Aderlin Rodriguez with two outs. Dustin Lawley followed with a big 404 foot homerun against the wind to make it 3-0. Eudy Pina kept the two-out magic going with single into LF, and then came around to score on Jairo Perez’s first double of the year.

After Gilbert Gomez led off the 2nd with a walk, Cecchini picked up his second hit in as many innings. Jared King followed with an RBI single blooped into RF, which made it a 5-0 lead. Aderlin would bring Cheech home for a second time with his second double of the year, which was lined into LF.

Bonus

He's very good on this type of play

That was cool, but not needed

Got your stop watch ready for Nimmo?
Cheech errors
