The Highlights:

Pitchers
Noah Syndergaard – 5.2 IP, 7 H, ER, 3 BB, 8 SO, 95 pitches, 61 strikes (64%), 26 batters faced, 4 groundouts, 3 fly outs

Batters
Andrew Brown – 2-4, outfield assist which saved a run in the 8th
Taylor Teagarden – 1-4, R, RBI, HR, 3 SO – solo HR to give 51’s the lead top 8

What to Know

Syndergaard was pretty good, suffering from occasional bouts of wildness, but not giving up a lot of hard contact. Carraway looked very good for Tacoma. Teagarden gave the 51s a lead with a solo HR in the top of the 9th but Walters gave up 3 singles to load the bases leading off the bottom half and then walked in the tying and go-ahead runs on back-to-back batters - he never recorded an out.

Recap to come later or in the morning.

Bonilla could not believe, looking confused after he tried arguing the call, but he did not run hard down the 3B line to make sure he scored – I’d bet he doesn’t do that ever again.

1)   Avery hit a medium grounder that got just by a diving Flores behind 2B. S8/G6M
2)   Taylor with a nice bunt up the 1B line that Allen threw high to 1B – looked like he threw it high and a little softer to avoid the runner, had a bad angle to 1B when he picked up – stinks to be a RH 1B. S3/B3S
