Hitter of the Week: L.J. Mazzilli edges
out some seriously tough competition this week, as he wasn’t the only Met
prospect who busted out the power stick.
Starting Pitcher of the Week: Another
tough choice, but going with the BMets hottest pitcher Tyler Pill, who only
needed 76 pitches to finish six strong innings in his start. Pill in his past
five starts (since April 28): 1.65 ERA, 27.1 IP, 22 H (3 doubles), 7 R, 5 ER, 4
BB, 25 SO, HR, HBP, .284 BABIP, 23.8 K%, 3.8 BB%, 397 pitches (63% strikes),
14.5 Pitches/IP. That’s a lot of numbers, but all point to a very dominant
pitcher. For a little more, here’s the BMets broadcaster Tim Heiman, who is
another strong broadcaster in the Mets system.
Keeping the ball down in the zone. Not missing up anymore "MT: @Astromets31 What's been the biggest difference for Pill the past 4 starts?"

Relief Pitcher of the Week: JacKKKKKKKKK
Leathersich was awesome in his two relief appearances. Hope there is much more
of this in the near future so I can give some regular reports on him from Vegas
or, better yet, we all get to enjoy his strikeout touch with the Mets.
Team of the Week: The St. Lucie Mets with
their hot hitters at the top take the honor this week, although they ended
their winning streak Sunday. The BMets head into Monday winners of three
straight and looking for the four-game sweep over New Britain at home.
Upcoming Mets MiLB.tv coverage of note:
Las Vegas 51s – All games are on MiLB.tv, this week they will
wrap up their series with Sacramento Monday afternoon, play 4 evening games in
El Paso, and then return home to begin a series against the Reno Aces.
Binghamton Mets – Begin a series in New Britain Friday May
30 that is listed as available on MiLB.tv.
St. Lucie Mets – Do not appear to have scheduled MiLB.tv
games ever.
Savannah Sand Gnats – Will be available again when they
travel to Charleston for a four game series starting Thursday June 5.
Mondays are boring. These out-of-this-world #astronomy photos are anything but. http://t.co/kZ6FoPtw7f #ttot #travel pic.twitter.com/sTzhxNCBjT
