Hitter of the
Week: Cesar Puello gets the honor this week, busting out in a big way.
Twitter will need to start a #FreePuello campaign if he keeps getting benched.
Starting Pitcher
of the Week: Has to go to the only two-start pitcher of the week, Tyler
Pill. I’ve been talking him up since I saw him April 28, and he’s been on fire
during that time – 4 starts, 21.1 IP, 16 H, 6 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, 20 SO, HR, HBP,
63% strikes, which is good for a 1.69 ERA with a .208/.253/.273 slash line
against. Now let’s see him go deeper into games while keeping this up.
Relief Pitcher of
the Week: Chase Bradford edges Akeel Morris for the honor, striking out
more than half the batters he faced.
Team of the Week:
I’ll give the edge to the B-Mets over the 51s this week, as they head into the next week with
a five game winning streak.
Upcoming MiLB.tv coverage of note:
Las Vegas 51s – All games are on MiLB.tv, this week they
play four in Fresno before returning home for four against Sacramento.
Binghamton Mets – Play six games Monday – Thursday against Portland, all listed as available on MiLB.tv (too bad Nimmo hasn’t been promoted).
Savannah Sand Gnats – Start a four game series in Lexington Thursday evening, all listed as available on MiLB.tv.
