Dates: April 10-12
Results: L 2/3
Current Record: 3-3
MVMet: David
Wright had the type of series the Mets will need from him often this season,
although he did not get a lot of support from his teammates. Hopefully David is
getting hot in time for this big home stand against the weaker teams of the NL
East.
LVMet: Dillon Gee
allowed three straight doubles to start the 5th, and then a triple
to Eric Young Jr, which put the Mets in too big of a hole to overcome.

Bullpen
2.57 ERA, 7 IP, 4 H, 2 R, BB, 10 SO, 8 GO: 4 FO, 3 IR – 0 S
The
only blemish against the bullpens record this past weekend came after an
unusual decision by David Wright forced Rafael Montero to get an extra out in
the inning. Wright chose to go for the tag of the lead runner instead of the
sure 2nd out at 1B and both runners would end up scoring. Despite plenty
of concern expressed about the Mets bullpen during Spring Training, it’s proven
to be reliable early.
Looking Ahead
Mets
head north for their first home stand of 2015, with Philly, Miami and Atlanta
due to visit over the next 11 days.
