Post-game notes:
The bad news is that the Mets lost. The worse news is that Noah Syndergaard was
skipped
due to biceps tendinitis, and then Yoenis Cespedes reinjured
his hamstring during the game (IT’S A
FREAKING 10-GAME DL NOW, WHY WOULDN’T YOU JUST USE IT FROM THE START).
If there is a silver lining, it’s
that Matt Harvey isn’t hurt. His velocity and command were off Thursday, which
led to concerns from people watching the game – both casual fans and paid announcers. Fortunately, it was announced
after the game that Harvey didn’t find out he was starting until Thursday
morning – Harvey added that he had lifted Wednesday. That’s a relief, but you
really have to ask, how did the Mets let something like this happen, again.
