Mets Minor League Daily – September 11, 2015

All your Mets minors needs in one place.

Updated throughout the day and night.

If you have any link tips, suggest them to @Astromets31 on twitter and I’ll add them in.

            Check out yesterday’s results here.

Ron Kantowski of the Las Vegas Review Journal says that MLB should do away with the September 1 callup rules to add legitimacy to the minor league playoff races, and suggests that the 51s might still be playing if not for the 4 Mets callups (he includes Kirk Nieuwenhuis in this group for some reason) before the El Paso series. This sounds like one very frustrated Las Vegas fan looking to blame something or someone for the 51s collapse.

While Robert Gsellman and the B-Mets crowd waited for his start to begin last night (it would eventually be postponed due to rain), Lynn Worthy of pressconnects got to speak with a pair of key Mets Player Development guys: Paul DePodesta and Dicky Scott.

Lynn also discussed Xorge Carrillo’s background recently – Xorge is pretty awesome behind the plate.

The Sequoyah County Times talked to Matt Oberste about his very strong season with St. Lucie.

Gershon Rabinowitz of Baseball Essential discussed the Brooklyn Cyclones first losing season in team history.

The Statesman posted a Q and A with recent Mets draft pick Dillon Becker.

Jeffrey Paternostro of Amazin’ Avenue shared his notes on a few more Kingsport Mets players.
