Recapish

After taking the opener against New Hampshire rather handily Saturday evening, the Binghamton Mets could barely scratch out any hits in the nightcap, and found themselves on the wrong end of a laugher. Tyler Herron’s organizational debut did not go well, as he was charged with 9 of the runs allowed over his 3+ innings of work.

Recapish

The Binghamton Mets started their homestand on the wrong foot Tuesday night, taking a 5-2 loss to the Altoona Curve to fall 12 games under .500. Although he allowed 10 hits, Tyler Pill finished with a quality start, but his teammates couldn’t put anything together at the plate.
Nothing came easy for Pill in this game, and he’d finish with 0 clean innings. Three of the ten hits Pill allowed went for extra bases, and all 3 of those hits turned into runs for the Curve. Reese MCGuire was a particularly big thorn in Pill’s side, finishing a homer shy of the cycle against the B-Mets starter.

Recapish

The Binghamton Mets fell back to 10 games under .500 Saturday night, blowing a late comeback bid and taking a walkoff loss in Trenton. On a night when the Mets A-ball affiliate Brooklyn Cyclones were held hitless over 10 innings, the B-Mets were limited to just 1 hit over the first 7 innings before ‘coming alive’ in the 8th.
Kevin McGowan made the spot start for Binghamton and gave them 2 scoreless frames before running into trouble to start the 3rd inning. The first 4 Thunder batters had hits off him in the 3rd, which is how the Thunder built up an early 2-0 lead. Logan Taylor took over in the 4th and cruised through his 4 innings, which gave his teammates plenty of chances to come back.

Recapish

The Las Vegas 51s were again off to a hot start Friday night in Albuquerque, but Rafael Montero couldn’t keep the good vibes rolling, blowing an early lead and taking the L. The 51s bats were hot early against Isotopes starter Jordan Lyles, but they couldn’t get to the Albuquerque pen late in this game.
After both finished with 4 hits Thursday night, Dilson Herrera and Travis Taijeron started their nights with doubles in the 1st inning Friday night. Unfortunately Dilson would be thrown out at home trying to score on a groundout/run on contact play. Taijeron’s double brought home Johnny Monell to give Las Vegas a 2-0 lead.
