The
Brooklyn Cyclones overcame an early 3-0 deficit to even their series with
Aberdeen Monday night thanks to a four-run 7th. Brooklyn starter
Colin Holderman was making a minor league rehab start for the Cyclones and he
struggled with command out of the gate, which Aberdeen was more than happy to
take advantage of. Fortunately for Brooklyn, the rest of the pitching staff on
call Monday was more than up to the task of shutting down this Iron Birds
lineup. The Cyclones finally got to Aberdeen’s pen in the 7th and
the floodgates opened, although the Brooklyn bats did little to support the
four run rally.
