            At this point, it’s no secret that the Cyclones (17-47 record after the win) are not having a good year, whereas Staten Island (40-24) is, and the Yanks Sunday starter Jorge Guzman definitely is: 4-2, 2.03 ERA, 78 K: 16 BB in 57.2 IP. So of course the Cyclones went out and won on 6-0, this is baseball after all, and ‘ya can’t predict ball.’ Four errors and a passed ball from the Yanks made the Cyclones job a little easier on the offensive end, but it was the work done by Brooklyn pitcher’s that won this game.

            The Brooklyn Cyclones bats came alive Sunday evening, rallying for ten runs on seventeen hits, but the Valley Cats made more of their eleven hits and walked away with a 13-10 win. After two straight very strong outings for Brooklyn, Jose Geraldo struggled out of the gates Sunday and had to be relieved in the 2^nd inning. There must’ve been something in the air though Sunday, because Geraldo wasn’t the only pitcher who struggled. Combined, eight pitchers came into this game, and only one of them finished with a scoreless outing. Everyone in the Cylcones lineup reached base safely at least twice, except for Jose Medina, who did still have a double in this game.

            The Mets 1^st round pick from this draft David Peterson made his second start of the season for the Brooklyn Cyclones and left with a 1-0 lead Friday night. Of course, he left in the 2^nd inning Friday night and this game didn’t end until Saturday evening, so it wasn’t exactly standard procedure. This game was delayed in a 1-1 tie in the top of the 6^th, and they eventually chose to suspend it overnight and finish it before Saturday’s scheduled game. It was all Hudson Valley after the game resumed, and the Renegades went on to take the opener 4-1.
