Todd
Dewey of the Las
Vegas Review-Journal was there last night when Dilson Herrera learned he
was going back to the Mets, and has a few good quotes from Dilson and Backman.
The
latest piece of news in the ‘drama’ surrounding the sale of the B-Mets is that
the B-Mets can
shop to other potentials buyers, but not sell – weird.
After
his big performance last night, MiLB
had a nice piece on St. Lucie 1B/DH Matt Oberste, who was the Mets 7th
round pick in 2013.
Per the Las Vegas 51s game notes, and confirmed by twitter, Jon Velasquez has been promoted to the 51s. T.J. Rivera should be back with the B-Mets soon, possibly as soon as tomorrow. Jayce Boyd has been sitting out with a sore back, but is just day-to-day. Michael Fulmer has been promoted and will start Sunday for Binghamton. Matt Koch has been moved to the Binghamton bullpen.

Minors MVP of the Day
– Dustin Lawley has been pushing the envelope on the base paths early, picking up his 5th stolen base already Friday night, which is more than he had in all of 2014. He's also been very hot the last 10 days, now up to 11 for his last 31, with 4 doubles, 2 homeruns, and 3 stolen bases.
Minors Cy of the Day
– With 3 good, but not standout performances from 3 starters I like, it's a tough choice, but I'm giving the nod to Casey Meisner, who worked around a cruel BABIP fairy to shut down Lakewood - the 4 walks/57.6 strike percentage from Ynoa were hard to overlook.
