            Las Vegas made it two straight over Fresno and five of seven overall with a 4-3 win Wednesday night. Mike Hauschild was the story of this game early, as he retired the first fourteen 51s batters in a row to generate a little buzz, but then Cody Decker ruined his perfecto bid and stole the show. Decker knocked in three of the four Las Vegas runs with two massive bombs, the first of which broke up Hauschild’s attempt, and the second one gave Las Vegas its first lead.

            After finishing another rough home stand with a win Thursday, the Las Vegas 51s started their road trip with an 8-7 win over El Paso Friday. Rain knocked 51s starter Wilfredo Boscan out in the 2^nd, but the Las Vegas pen was just effective enough over seven-plus innings to hold on for the win. The top three hitters in the 51s lineup combined for nine of the teams sixteen hits, but it was actually the 7-8 hitters that provided half the scoring for Las Vegas. Cody Decker and Victor Cruzado combined to reach base five times and made it around for a score in four of those instances. Kevin McGowan wrapped things up with a scoreless 9^th for his fourth save of the year and has since been called up, so he may be done with Las Vegas for 2017.

            The Las Vegas 51s dropped their second straight in Albuquerque Saturday night, as the Isotopes pitching staff limited the 51s offense to just one run. Las Vegas starter Wilfredo Boscan matched Friday’s starter Donovan Hand with six innings of two-run ball, but Boscan got even less support from his offense and relief than Hand had received. The 51s struggled to generate offense because all eight of their hits were singles and they were involved in three double plays
