Recap with gifs:
An
early offensive outburst was more than enough for Matt Bowman, who has been
having a very strong season for Binghamton this year – check out the highlights
below.
Bowman
worked around a one-out single in the 1st, getting Willy Garcia
swinging to end the frame for his first strikeout of the night.
Ceciliani
got the B-Mets rally started in the second with a single to RF.
Boyd
followed with a single to LF – Ceciliani is very fast and ended up on 3B after
the hit.
Taijeron
drove in Ceciliani with the first run of the game with this double down the
left-field line.
After
Gronauer drove in Boyd with a groundout, Bowman helped his own cause with an
RBI single to score Taijeron. Nimmo came next and drew a walk with two outs.
Dilson put the finishing touches on the rally when he drove in Bowman with this
single up the middle.
Bowman
worked around a leadoff walk in the 2nd to leave Keon Broxton
stranded at 3B. He got Ralph Henriquez swinging to end the inning.
After
a Ceciliani walk and stolen base, Boyd got the Mets on the board in the 3rd
with this RBI single.
Taijeron
followed with his second RBI-double of the game.
Bowman
bookended his half of the 3rd with two strikeouts, he would give up
an unearned run in between.
Ludwig struck out swinging for the first out.
Garcia struck out looking to end the inning.
Bowman
would retire the Curve in order in the 4th, getting Stetson Allie
looking for the first out.
The
Mets would scratch out a run on three singles in the 5th:
Ceciliani got things started with one-out.
Boyd followed with a single to RF.
Gronauer drove in Ceciliani with a single to LF.
Bowman
gave up two singles in the 5th but no runs were allowed. He’d strike
out two:
Yao-Hsun Yang struck out trying to bunt for the first out.
Matt Curry looking for the third out.
Bowman
gave up back-to-back hits in the 6th – a single and RBI double –
before bouncing back to retire the next three. He got Jarek Cunningham swinging
for the second out.
And
Henriquez swinging for his final out of the night.
Jack
Leathersich came in for the 8th and struck out the side in order:
Garcia swinging.
Allie swinging.
