7/7 – Draft picks Peter Alonso and Michael Paez were officially signed, and the Mets signed 16-year old SS Luis Santana.

Las Vegas 51s

Mets Minors Transactions, June 26 – July 2, 2016

Keeping track of recent minor transactions within the Mets system

6/28 – Juan Lagares was sent to the B-Mets to begin his rehab stint. Lagares went 6-18 with a triple, some nice catches in CF, but 5 K’s. The Mets also announced the signing of Tyler Herron to a minor league contract. Herron is set to join the B-Mets rotation during their double-header Saturday.

6/29 - Undrafted Free Agent C Kevin Hall was signed to a minor league contract.

6/30 – Seth Lugo was promoted and made his Major League debut Friday night. The Mets optioned Sean Gilmartin to Las Vegas, where he’ll re-join the rotation.

7/1 – Jim Henderson was sent on a rehab assignment with the Binghamton Mets. He last just 0.2 IP before reaching his pitch limit, but he had to pitch during the only 15-minutes of rain all day, and it was coming down pretty bad at one point. The Mets also announced the signing of 17-year old OF Gilberto Espinoza, as the international free agency period starts July 2.

7/2 - Juan Lagares was activated and Seth Lugo sent back to Las Vegas.

6/28 – Daniel Muno was released from the organization. Wish him nothing but the best with whichever team picks him up next and hope he gets another major league chance someday. T.J. Rivera returned from the 7-day DL (minor hamstring strain) to take his roster spot.

Mets Minors Transactions, June 19-25, 2016

Keeping track of recent minor transactions within the Mets system

6/20 – Mets signed draft picks Blake Tiberi and Gene Cone and announced the signing of undrafted free agents Joe Napolitano and Reed Gamache.

6/21 – Jim Henderson was placed on the 15-day DL (retroactive to 6/19) and Sean Gilmartin was recalled to take his place. The Mets also recalled Travis d’Arnaud and optioned Kevin Plawecki to Las Vegas. Finally, they announced the signing of the following draft picks: Justin Dunn, Jeremy Wolf, Ian Strom, Max Kuhns, Placido Torres, Chris Viall, Colin Holderman.

6/22 – Ty Kelly was optioned to Las Vegas and Logan Verrett recalled. The Mets announced the signing of Dominican catcher Jose Mena, who has since made his debut in the DSL.

6/24 – The Mets signed Darin Gorski out of Indy ball.

6/25 – Michael Conforto was optioned down to Las Vegas and Brandon Nimmo was recalled to make his major league debut. The Mets have announced the signing of Jose Reyes and he will apparently report to the Brooklyn Cyclones for Sunday’s game.

6/20 – Chase Huchingson was activated off the 7-day DL.

6/21 – The 51s lost Sean Gilmartin and Travis d’Arnaud to promotion but got back the once highly touted Kevin Plawecki. I always felt Plaw was rushed and should’ve been playing everyday in the minors for most of last season.

6/12 – Verrett/Goeddel swap.

6/15 – Robert Gsellman was placed on the 7-day DL while nursing a sore quad. Jeff Glenn was activated for bench duty.

6/7 – Eric Campbell was temporarily recalled to the Mets.

6/8 – Campbell was optioned back. The Mets traded Double-A RH RP Akeel Morris to the Atlanta Braves in exchange for Kelly Johnson. The Mets also signed Josh Zeid to a minor league contract.

6/10 – Kelly Johnson was activated and Ty Kelly optioned back to Las Vegas.

6/7 – Mets ordered the Soup.

6/1 – The Mets announced the signing of a pair of 18-year olds from the DR: RHP Willy Taveras and SS Wilmer Reyes.

6/3 – David Wright was placed on the 15-day DL with a herniated disk in his neck. Matt Reynolds was recalled to take his place.

UPDATE: Jeff Walters was outrighted to the 51s.

Mets Minors Transactions, May 22-28, 2016

Keeping track of recent minor transactions within the Mets system

5/23 – Lucas Duda was moved to the 15-day DL, retroactive to 5/21, with a stress fracture of the lower back. Sounds like it could be a long stretch (4-6 weeks) without the big man at 1B. The Mets then DFA’d Dario Alvarez so they could callup Ty Kelly from the Las Vegas 51s.

5/24 – Wilmer Flores joined the B-Mets to begin his rehab.

5/25 – The Braves claimed Dario Alvarez off waivers.

5/28 – The Mets acquired James Loney in exchange for cash considerations. In other news, I just yawned. Still waiting to see if the Mets announce a corresponding 40-man move today or not.
